The 1929 Oldsmobile was acquired in 1970 from a dealer in Grand Rapids, MI. I was told by the dealer that it was in the dealership inventory since new. Of course the dealership changed hands over the years from father to son. I have not been able to validate that information. The car had 32,580 original miles when purchased. The interior as well as all the wooden parts in the doors, roof and floor were original. Even the tar top, although a bit cracked, was original. The paint was a bit deteriorated, so I repainted it in 1997 for the Oldsmobile 100th birthday celebration. It was the feature car for the 1929 model year. I enjoyed owning this car for over 36 years, taking it to parades and shows. The car was sold around 10 years ago to a person in Canada.
